Details

Begin your 1 Day  Lake Nakuru Safari from Nairobi in the morning with a brief stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to enjoy views of this natural phenomenon as well as take photos. The Great Rift Valley is approximately 6,000 kilometres in total length, that runs from the Baqaa Valley in Lebanon in Asia to Mozambique in South-Eastern Africa. The area is geologically active, and features volcanoes some of which are still active, hot springs, geysers, and frequent earthquakes. Proceed with our journey and arrive in Lake Nakuru National Park in mid-morning. After completing park entry formalities begin game drive around the lake. The park has a healthy population of rhinos, so chances of spotting these endangered animals are good. There are also a number of Rothschild's giraffe, again translocated for safety from western Kenya beginning in 1977. Waterbuck are very common and both the Kenya species (Common Waterbuck and Defassa Waterbuck) are found here. Predators likeky to be seen while on this 1 Day Lake Nakuru Safari/Day Trip are lion and leopard. Lunch will be had at a lodge overlooking Lake Nakuru and its surrounding National Park. Afternoon game drive with a chance to see more wildlife and bird species  before we return to Nairobi where we will arrive in the evening. End of 1 Day Safari to Lake Nakuru
